UGENE Team Meets with NSU Specialized Educational and Scientific Center (SUNC) Students

On April 1, our team gave a lecture titled "Modern Bioinformatics with Unipro UGENE" at the scientific seminar of the NSU Specialized Educational and Scientific Center (SUNC). High school students from grades 9-11 learned about the tasks that bioinformatics solves and the key features of our bioinformatics platform for analyzing genetic sequences. The history of bioinformatics development at Unipro also sparked great interest.

Students from chemistry-biology, physics-math, and other specialties asked questions about how to apply for an internship at our company, which programming languages are most relevant to study, and where to pursue further education at NSU. We had individual discussions with students who are already using UGENE in their research projects. Considering that SUNC students have been participating in the nationwide NTI Olympiad in genome editing for the past five years, this knowledge will be useful for their future endeavors.
