USPARS Project at an International Conference
Every year, researchers in the field of computational technologies gather in Akademgorodok, Novosibirsk, to share their cutting-edge developments.
In early October, at the Marchuk Scientific Readings 2021 conference, our team presented interim results on the development of the universal USPARS solver for various computational architectures, including the Russian "Elbrus" processor platform.
The solver is designed for large sparse systems of linear equations on multi-processor shared memory systems, where the dimensions of the matrices can reach several million. USPARS employs classical types of triangular factorization of sparse matrices and already delivers competitive performance compared to leading global counterparts. The solver is used in the company's own products.
