UGENE at the Synthetic Biology School at NSU

At the end of August, NSU brought together students from biomedical fields across Russia for a summer school to train in genetic engineering skills as part of the NTI program. Young researchers are learning to conduct complex "wet" laboratory experiments and process biological data on computers. Our bioinformatics package UGENE is helping them in this process.

Today, representatives from the UniPro team met with the school participants, discussed the project and the company, and answered questions about functionality and future development plans.

Collaboration with the NTI "Genome Editing" program continues, and every year, thousands of NTI Olympiad participants use UGENE to run essential algorithms for working with genetic sequences to achieve their research goals.
