UGENE at Software Freedom Day in NSU

Novosibirsk was one of four cities in Russia that celebrated Software Freedom Day on September 17 this year. Globally, there were 128 such locations. The team behind the open-source bioinformatics package UGENE, developed by Unipro since 2008, shared their experience in managing a complex, high-tech software project. Among the projects presented at the event in NSU, UGENE was likely the most industrially-developed package, with tens of thousands of users worldwide.
