Senior Java Developer
We are seeking a quality centric software engineer to help maintain and enhance J2EE application.
You will design, develop and maintain the application along with the database backend. You will propose the technical designs and validate them with the Project Manager before implementing them and finally testing them with the QA team so they can be released.

Responsibilities

• Design the enhancements and the maintenance corrections
• Implement and test the enhancements and the corrections
• Document your changes and keep the documentation up to date

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development with both programming and designing experiences.
• Self-starter able to proactively resolve issues and move project ahead with minimal input from manager.
• Candidate must be attentive to detail, project planning and design and coding standards.
• Team player able to collaborate effectively within the development team, with other employees and contractors.
• Excellent verbal, written communications and listening skills
• Good knowledge of English required.

Development experience with the following languages:

• Java [strong]
• SQL [medium] (Microsoft SQL and PL-SQL)
• Javascript [medium]

Development experience with in the following areas

• web applications (servlets, HTML, XML)
• O/R mapping & JDBC
• Java design patterns

Experience with the following tools and environments:

• Eclipse"
• Application servers: Tomcat and/or WebSphere and/or WebLogic
• Microsoft operating systems: 2000, XP and/or 2003
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and/or 2005, and/or Oracle 8i, 9i and/or 10g
