Interval arithmetic libraries
Customer: leading IT company
Purpose: Development of interval arithmetic FORTRAN/C++/Java libraries which unlike
usual computation libraries allow to perform floating-point calculations without rounding
restrictions.
Target industry: IT, interval arithmetic computations are used in automobile, chemical, aerospace
industries for modeling purposes.
Description:
UniPro has probably most experienced interval team in the industry which includes 1 doctor of
mathematics and 3 PHDs, with total team's experience in IT and mathematics over 100 man/year.
The team took part in development of highly optimized and parallelized interval libraries for
FORTRAN, C++ and Java programming languages. Developed and implemented mathematics algorithms
allowed to create libraries with expanded functionality, high performance and reliability -
the total number of team's reseach publications on interval analisys exceeds 100 papers.
The libraries were integrated into popular IDEs and implemented in FORTRAN language/compiler
extensions.
Created solution allowed our customer to extend its positions in the computation technologies area,
proposing its clients powerful high-quality computation solution.
